Summer Vacation: The End

Here are the pics from the last part of our trip. We went to Destin to see Aunt Gina and Uncle Alan for a few days. Jay loved the pool and the balcony. He also found some more girls to flirt with and loved playing with Bryce, a 2 1/2 year old boy, in the pool both days. I don't have time to say more but just wanted to get these up for Wes. We cannot wait to see him!!
Watching everyone in the pool with Uncle Alan
He had the best time people-watching from the balcony
Laying back with Papa Rich Riding on Papa Rich's shoulders
Helping a total stranger push their cooler inside.
Flirting, as usual...
splashing in the pool
More flirting...
Goodbye kisses from Zach and Ty.

Summer Vacation part two: The Flirt

Here are the pictures from yesterday and today. Again, we have been playing in the water and Jay is now a true beach bum. He is missing Daddy though and I realized this after Bryce (Sunny's boyfriend) got here yesterday. Jay immediately went up to him and started playing, then got in his lap and just stared, grinned, and talked for about 45 min (in the pic above). I think it was that familiar touch that he craved since Bryce is about the same size as Wes and probably held him the way Wes does. It was sweet and sad at the same time.
I will let the pictures say the rest...
Jay wanted to see what all the fuss was about with everyone laying in the sun so he plopped down next to Heather, and I don't think he liked it too much.
His new chair.
Trying on Zack and Ty's goggles
Helping everyone bury Zack, Ty, and Jacob in the sand.
Standing next to his other twin, Uncle Oren.
And giving him his famous open-mouthed kiss! So sweet.
"Uncle Oren, I'm so glad you are here!" This was right after Oren got to the beach.
Out in the ocean with all the cousins.
Helping dig a hole to bury Conner and Drew.
Taking a good nap by the beach with mama ross.
That's the life!
Here is when he couldn't get enough of Bryce.
he and marla walked back and forth filling up the bucket of water and dumping it out next to us.
Cute boy sporting his beach hat.
This is why I called him a flirt. He walked right up to these girls (total strangers), said hey, sat down right in the middle of them and started talking. He sat there for at least 10 min like they were his best friends. He has no shame.
Look at his smile...he was very pleased with himself.
Conner dug him a hole and he jumped right in.

For Wes

Here are some of Jay playing with Mama Ross in the beach...they go with the ones below but I couldn't get them to group together.
For some reason, he decided Sunny's legs were there for him to pull and prod and wrap around himself for about 15 minutes.
Playing with Papa's hat
Since we weren't taking the float out he thought he'd just chill out inside for a while.
...And drink the rest of Papa's coffee.
Jay and 4 pretty girls on the beach...every little boy's dream
Sunny, Marla, and Carrie took him out in the ocean and he loved the waves moving him around...I couldn't catch it on camera but he cracked up every time a wave would come.
Passed out on the beach with Papa Tim
This was yesterday morning when Mama Ross and I took him to play in the waves for the first time this week...I think he might be part-fish.
Still chillin in his float
Watching Papa Tim spray the door
Fishing with Sunny! He is a natural.
Following everyone down the pier
His first night on the pier with everyone, walking around with Uncle Larry
Here are some random pictures from the last day or two. We are in Mexico Beach and, so far, we haven't seen any oil. It rained off and on yesterday which means we were running back and forth from the beach to the condo but, per the weather man, it is supposed to be dry and sunny the rest of the week. So in a little while I am going to take this camp outside and not move until sundown! It is wonderful having an endless supply of babysitters and Jay is having a ball with everyone fighting over who can spoil him the most. So we are having a great time but I wish Wes could be here. And since he can't, I am putting up all of the pictures I have so he can see everything...sorry to everyone else who may not be as into seeing every detail of Jay's adventures. ;)
