Swimming with cousins!

Sweet Ellie Grace

Isn't she adorable!

Jumping to Mimi!

Ellie is a little fish!

Check out Judson...you cannot go to the pool without your cowboy hat!

Gailee, Mimi, and Jay

Aunt Gail finally convinced Jud to jump in!

Eli and I watching the fun from the shaded, dry, sidelines

Gailee and Mimi waiting to catch Jay

Gailee was 2 when Wes and I got married...I cannot believe she is big enough to babysit my child!

Jay and Ellie discussing their next move

Jay avoided going under water at all costs.

Now its Eli's turn

He enjoyed it, to my surprise...he was smiling here.

Mimi and Gramma with their sweet boys

Notice the cowboy didn't get in the water without his gun!

So cute!

Gailee keeping my baby happy

So much fun!

Such a good picture of Mom and Aunt Gail with their babies!

Eli is worn out!

Taking a break

Apparently Judson is not a fan of cherries!

Hilarious!

What a life

And now they are back at it!

Dinner date.

Back at home, playing in the yard

I was going to only post one of these but I just couldn't decide...he is just so darn cute!

This is what happened after I left Jay to get his own snack while I fed Eli
We had a short visit with Mimi last weekend and spent Saturday at Aunt Gail's swimming with cousins. Mom, Dad, Kurt, and I spent countless days at Uncle Cleveland and Aunt Gail's pool growing up. It was so much fun and, I now realize, our parent's strategic plan to wear us out so they could come home to peace. So many of my favorite childhood memories are the fun Josh, Clay, Kurt, and I always had swimming in this pool. It is such a blessing that our kids can enjoy the same thing together. They had the best time, as they always do when they're together, but this time it really felt like I was reliving those sweet memories again. And I can't wait until Eli is running around with all of them!

Eli at 7 months...Fireworks...Brotherly fun

His first day sitting up all by himself...July 4th

We met some good friends for the firework show...Eli doesn't realize we will have him up way past bedtime yet...

Look at these cute boys!

So excited!

They watched them together last year also but it rained so we had to throw them all in the truck to keep them dry

This year we threw them back there as a confinement strategy

Eli was so good. He fell asleep without a fuss and let us put him in the carseat, but he did wake up once the fireworks started.

Grumpy, but too tired to complain

Waiting for the parking lot to clear. Picture with my sweetheart...for the moment.

The 3 stooges

All of us, hot and sweaty, and ready to get home...notice Eli being such a trooper!

Eli at 7 months

Sitting up

Playing in the crib after naptime

First game of catch

Eli loved it

Jay loved teaching him

Except that Eli couldn't roll it back...notice Jay's foul expressions...

"mom! he won't roll it back to me!"

"He's not playing right!"

Granny Curry turned 83 last week!  We made her a card...and Eli tried to eat it.

Look at this big boy!

It is really nice to just plop him down and not surround him with pillows anymore...and he is so proud of himself, of course

Jay showing Eli how this works

The favorite part of his meals....eating the washcloth after he's done

These next few are of Jay cracking Eli up...so sweet!

My job is so easy the second time around....no better entertainment than a silly brother!
