Bath time peek a boo

Just for the sake of pictures...

I know we have been MIA this past week so I tried to snap some of us yesterday and today just around the house. Now that Jay is a little energizer bunny, it is very hard to get a sweet pose for the camera. Wes calls them "action photos" but I miss when he would just stare at the camera and give me a precious smile. Oh well, I guess we will have to take what we can get. ;) Taking a bath tonight... Trying to crawl down the stairs...didn't work out for him though.

Jay and a long beach...

We took a weekend trip to Charleston and the beach this weekend and Jay finally understood how much fun a beach can be! This sand was much easier to crawl on than the gulf beaches so he decided there was no need to stop. Here is a video of him crawling away. Sorry the quality is not great...I only had my digital camera to take videos with. We also went to the children's museum there which had an area for infants/toddlers and Jay had a good time playing. Wes and I had fun in the other rooms while Jay just watched us play like we were ten year olds. ;) When he is a little older, we will have to go back and actually be the parents instead of the grown up kids. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qRWaZM0lLBk

A fun week with family!

We are home from a week long adventure to Georgia and Florida. Jay is better at car rides- his tolerance lasts about 5 hours now instead of 3. Unfortunately, both Tifton and Valdosta are 6 hours away, meaning the last hour of the trip consists of a very angry baby and an even more exhausted mother! At least when we go home for Christmas Wes will be with us. If nothing else, we can share the misery. Otherwise, the trip was wonderful! We had a great time with tons of family and Jay was in a good mood all week (of course, who wouldn't be with constant attention and new playmates every half hour). We spent half the week with the Ross' and the other half in Destin with my family. Since Jay is crawling now, he loved the change of scenery and was determined to climb over everything...no matter the danger! We had many eyes watching him though so no big injuries.
