Sorry for the lack of posting lately. We are finally home after a trip to the beach with the Ross' and a visit with my family in Valdosta. I am going to post several pictures of our vacation so you can see what all Jay got into. He is teething (to his and our dismay) so has had some low grade fevers and has been fussy a good bit of the time. I am pouring Tylenol and teething tablets down him, sometimes with relief and sometimes not. I can't find any that have cut through though. Right now he is in his crib watching the mobile. I think he missed his crib last week. When we got home yesterday I put him in it and he started kicking around and talking like it was the most exciting thing he had ever seen. It was so cute. So for a recap on the week: the ride down was pretty bad. He screamed the last half of the way down to Valdosta. He would take a nap for 10 min and scream for 20. At least he has some good lungs. The benadryl did not phase him! I was very disappointed. When we got to the beach he was spoiled rotten by papa tim, mama ross, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He loved it. We took him to the beach and he played in the sand but was scared (as evidenced by dramatic screams and frowns) of the water so we only tried that once-maybe next year... He was excited about Zack and Ty (5 year old twins) and would stare and talk to them every time they were around. I guess he could tell they were little like him. Uncle Curtis had the magic touch when Jay was fussy and would just walk up and down the beach until he crashed...it worked every time. The last night we got to see another hilarious belly laugh thanks to Becky. Mrs Lynn gave me a much needed break when Jay had been crying all afternoon by taking him down to the pier and getting him to take a long nap by the beach (in the shade of course). It was a fun week, despite the irritated gums. Then we went to Valdosta for a few days and saw MiMi and Papa Rich. Uncle Alan and Aunt Gina were able to come up too so I got more help! It was great, especially since Uncle Alan is able to calm Jay down when he is inconsolable otherwise. Wes and I even went on a "date" Sat night since we had 4 free babysitters. I was glad that Jay felt better by Sunday so that they were able to see him happy and he and Papa Rich had some play time later that day. Mimi bought Jay several new toys to play with that he loves. They saved us on the car ride home. I guess the pictures will tell the rest of the story. I will post pics of the nursery soon too, we just have a few more decorations to add.
