6 months!

Well we have a 6 month old now!  It is crazy that time has gone by this fast but I am so happy that we are out of the "new baby" phase. We are in somewhat of a groove, she is happy, interactive, and so fun to watch. Of course, until my kids can talk to me I am always stressed about something they do or don't do. Right now I am pulling my hair out trying to get this child to drop the 3am feeding. She will last until 5 or 6am a few nights (just to get my hopes up) and then revert right back to her old ways. Eli was sleeping through at 5 1/2 months so I am getting impatient now....of course, I am the one who gives in every time and feeds her. My only hope is that she has really increased the amount of solid foods this week so maybe we are close!  Ahhhhh!  I wouldn't be so obsessed except that once school starts I can't sleep late after a long night and, after being sleep deprived all last spring, I am just over it!  I need all my kids to be on the same page with this sleeping thing. :)

 For her "good" qualities:
- She is truly so happy, I think the happiest of the 3. She loves to be around people and eats up any attention she can get. Wes and I both think she will be a social butterfly like Jay.
- She turns over both ways now, but still struggles with tummy to back. She gets mad when she can't do it quickly and just yells until someone comes to her aid...which someone always does!
- She is sitting with minimal help. I can't just plop her down and turn away but I barely hold her and she stays upright for a while. I know she will love to just sit and watch everyone by herself soon!
- She still isn't a fan of any bottle but will drink from a sippy cup. Even just sipping from a regular cup works, just don't dare give her a bottle!
- We have started several food with her. Rice cereal and oatmeal, bananas (her favorite), sweet potatoes, pears, prunes, and carrots (she also likes these a lot). This is still a messy ordeal but it is getting better. She eats better from Wes than me so this has become a good activity for them.
- She makes several sounds, "dadaddada", "behbehbeh", and her go-to, "eeeeeee!!!!!"
- She loves holding things, grabbing things, and playing with toys. She will pinch the devil out of my arm too!
- Her favorite thing to watch is the boys...if they are anywhere around, she breaks her neck until she finds them...and they love entertaining her so it is really fun!
- She loves the water, better than either boy. It doesn't matter if it is ice cold or in the middle of waves at the beach. She is so content the whole time. We had a great time at the beach with her because she loved it so much!
- She naps about 3 times a day and sleeps from 730 to 7 or 8 the next morning (I wake her at 1030pm to feed one last time, then pray she makes it the whole night....ha!)
- She goes to sleep on her own, will not take pacifiers. I just lay her in the crib and she rolls over and goes on down. I do let her cry a few minutes for naps...sometimes she wants to fight those...but after 5 minutes she is out.
- I don't have a strict schedule with her, mainly because the summer has been so crazy, but that is top on my list for the fall. I do a lot better when I know exactly when she will be hungry/sleepy.
- She likes pretty much all of the "baby gear"...the jumper, bumbo, swing, mobile, play gym, and exersaucer. She even like to just lay on a quilt and roll around. It is amazing how easy and happy she really is!
- I will get her height and weight when she goes for her well check in a few weeks.

In Amelia Island, walking to the beach

They were ready to have some fun!

The boys looking for some waves

Fishing on the boat was his favorite part of the trip he said

Ready to find the fish

Jaybird was loving it too

June was not so sure about her life jacket. She did protest off and on!

Jay, Eli, and Mama Ross

going with the flow now that daddy cooled her off

Eli is passed out on the way back

June finally gave it up too

Look at her hair blowing in the wind! haha

Look at her little sunburn...it didn't stop her though...just as happy anyway!

Loving the water

Jay loved the pool too. He has become a good swimmer this year.

Mama Ross is trying to get June to take a bottle....She drank an ounce and then started spitting it out...stubborn girl!

Look at that face....he does not want to be bothered with pictures!

This is on the beach...snoozing away

Digging for treasure

haha....he didn't find any in there though

Her face doesn't show it but she loved the waves. Even when they got her in the face she just kept bending down to play in it

Oren is helping Eli bury Jay

Now Eli's turn

Jay and Brooks finding some waves to ride

Jay said this was his favorite part of the trip

passed out again!

They both kept running up to us saying, "this is the best day ever!!"

sweet cousins....they may give us trouble in about 10 years though....they make quite a team!

I love Jay's face talking to Brooks here

It was storming so they pulled out the Ipads....

Cumberland Island

The boys found the horses!

They are just too cool

Boats put Eli to sleep, obviously

First day in her exersaucer...she loved it from the start!

They made a tent in the living room

fun times with these boys!

I don't see how this is comfortable but she plops over and sleeps hard like this all the time!

In a trance watching her brothers jump all over the living room

Sucking on her toes is one of her favorite pastimes.

My cute boy in a fishing shirt handed down by our neighbor. It is way to big but he loves it!

I love how this picture shows each of the boys' personalities. Wes in his scrubs, Eli in his fishing shirt, and Jay in his camo

We visited Granny Curry for her 86th birthday!  June smiles at the camera every time Granny holds her, even from the beginning before she could really smile. It's like she knows she is in the spotlight!

I am so thankful that June has a great grandmother to love her!  And am more thankful that I still have my grandmother. She is so loving to everyone around her. She is the best example I have ever seen of faithfulness and love. She has been through so much in her lifetime but it has only made her one of the strongest, wisest, and most gracious women I have ever known. She has impacted more lives than she will ever know. May God continue to bless her the way she has blessed all of us! I love you Granny!

Joy, Gail, Thomas, Charlene, and Wanda with Granny Curry and June

Thank goodness Joy was there to rock June to sleep!  She was the "baby whisperer" for sure. June is hard to get to sleep in someones arms but she took to Joy so easily!

Jay and I went on a date to see a movie the other night. I just had to get a picture. He is getting so old!

My boys washing my car for me...they do love me!

June enjoyed being the supervisor

Playing at Wild Adventures

Gracie and I waiting for Brandi and Jay to get off a slide

Jay got a hold of my camera the other day....close up of sweet girl!

The rest are Jay showing off his selfie skills

See how she is starting to sit!

Going after the lollipop!  ha!

Tired herself out on the playmat!

6 months photo...this girl knows the drill...she loves showing off for the camera!

Again, I got him to smile big by saying "poopy" over and over

This was at mom's pool...about a month ago. Her first time in the water and she loved it!
