Here is our little one's face profile, taken at 20 weeks |

If we had any doubt, we don't anymore!!! He is just as immodest as his big brother apparently |
Sweet little foot with 5 toes!!! |
above his head you can see his arm and hand |
This one is so funny, he was bent completely over playing with his feet!!!! |
This one is at 17 weeks, he is sucking his thumb...precious! |
Here is an update from my 20 week check up today. Little brother is doing great, growing right on schedule. He weighs 11 ounces. His heart rate was 144 (still quite a bit lower than Jay's was at this time----calm baby??? please!). We saw every little inch of him, his heart (and the four chambers), his brain, internal organs, hands, feet, fingers, toes, lips, nose, forehead, spine, even his nostrils! haha. It was so fun! Now that we are at the half way mark I am getting so excited about meeting him. I can't wait to see Jay help me take care of him and just pray that he lives through the first 3 months without serious injury courteous of big brother. Still not decided on a name other than we will use Wesley as the middle. This week we have been talking a little about "Eli" but who knows what we will decide on. Hopefully something will click soon though. Every time I ask Jay what we should name him he says "Jay"....I told him I didn't think that would work. Jay is so excited about "baby brother" also. He talks to him, tickles him, thinks that every growl of my stomach is baby brother, asks if baby brother is ok and if he can come out and play. Poor Jay will be very disappointed when he comes out and just sleeps and eats for a while. He loves to get out his doctor kit to "listen to baby brother's heart" and give him a shot...but he always gives him a bandaid afterward. It is too cute to see how his little 2 1/2 old brain processes the whole "baby in mommy's tummy" idea and he makes me laugh all the time with things he comes up with. The rest of the pictures are of, who else, but Jaybird...

Jumping with Joshua....Jay wanted to get in but I told him he was too big so he just jumped beside Joshua. |
We took Jay to a train museum the other day. We got to ride a real train for an hour. Jay is telling you that he is "riding choo-choo." |
showing off his new train! |
Riding with daddy...and picking his nose |
Checking out the scenery |
Now with me talking about everything we saw |
A few nights ago we said our prayers and Jay finished with "And thank you God for Truman and choo-choo man." |
He was totally entertained |
Showing off his "big boy underwear" We started potty training last week and he is doing great. Fewer accidents every day and we have run several errands with no problems. |
he loves to flush the potty and yells, "bye bye poopy!" when it goes down the toilet. Then quickly says, "now lets get a prize!" His phrase to let me know he has to go is, "better run to the potty!!" |
Playing the drums for Joshua, he was not impressed |
We had a quick visit from Mama Ross and Papa. Jay had a ball as he always does when they come. We are just sad we don't see them more often. Jay would go see papa every day if he could! |
Thanks for sharing the ultrasound pictures with everyone. They are amazing!
ReplyDeleteLove U, Mimi Wanda.
Ditto what Mimi Wanda said! I sure was glad you interpreted them for me. Thanks as always for keeping us up to date. Love all of you. Aunt Charlene
ReplyDeleteWe have a problem. I love the name Eli... but I guess you can have it 1) since you are pregnant and I will not be for a long, long time and 2) Eli is such a good name that it wouldn't hurt to have two of them in the family. :) Plus Justin doesn't really like it, so if he does stay around for the long run I might not get to use it any way. So you get my vote for that name! I can't wait to see you, baby belly (Eli), Jaybird, and Wes. :)
