Mom and Mama Ross, these two are just for you! I thought you'd LOVE them. :) |
My camera is working again, obviously, so we don't have to rush out and get a new one just yet. Jay is back to his spring/summer routine of getting as dirty as possible and then tracking all of it through the house...usually right after I've mopped and vacuumed! But it is totally worth it to have this nice weather and a tired out toddler at the end of the day.
We went to Funday Sunday at church and he played his little heart out for 4 hours. Last year he had just learned to walk and was somewhat timid of all of the rides. I remember we threw him in the bounce house and he didn't know what to do so he just sat down and cried, Wes had to climb in and rescue scared boy. This year, however, he owned the bounce house! Not to mention the firetruck (which they must have told him about in sunday school that day because as soon as I told jay we were going to church for 'Funday Sunday' he started yelling for firetruck. And the train (which Jay called "Papa's tractor" since it was led by a lawnmower). And then a helicopter ride, but he pitched a fit in the middle of it because he didn't like the seat belt. Go figure.
As far as the rest of things, Wes is taking his big annual exam this weekend so has been studying like a mad man these past few weeks. I will be sooooo happy when Sat afternoon gets here, and I
guess Wes will too. ;) I am done with my Thursday clinicals and have two more weeks of Friday classes, then I am done completely. Jay will be in school through the end of the month so I am pumped about three Thursdays of having the house all to myself for my many projects I've been putting off. Then, the first week in May Wes and I are going to Fort lauderdale for an ophthamology conference. Mom and the Ross' are keeping Jay so this is just a trip for us. Wes will be in and out doing whatever they do at these things and I will be napping in the sun all day! Very excited! Then, we come home and I'll have to figure out what I'm going to do with wild man for five days a week again! Thank God for our zoo and children's museum memberships, as well as all of the things columbia has for toddlers, as this will be my means of survival until I get him back in school starting August. I will be teaching again in the fall, twice a week but will probably put jay in school three days a week. He absolutely loves going to school and this will give me a day for grading papers/house work.
Otherwise, we are just enjoying the outside and trying to tone down the bossy tyrant our sweet boy has turned into. :)
